Not all reptiles should be handled, this will depend what reptile you have.

Handling reptiles requires caution and proper technique. Always support their body and avoid sudden movements. Some reptiles may be prone to biting or scratching, so it’s important to handle them with care and confidence.

Temperature and humidity are crucial for reptile health. Use thermometers and hygrometers to monitor levels, and provide heat sources, such as heat lamps or heating pads, as well as misting or water bowls to regulate humidity.

Many reptiles require specific lighting, such as UVB lighting, to provide the necessary levels of ultraviolet radiation for proper calcium metabolism. There is different types, make sure you are getting a strong enough bulb for your reptile, and replace it every 9-12 months (Depending on brand).

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain a healthy environment for your reptile. Remove waste, replace substrate, and clean food and water dishes as needed. Perform a thorough enclosure cleaning every few weeks.
